“Ghost of the Earth” - Woodburned Casket Box w Ghost Figurine

$68.00
SOLD

This is probably my most detailed coffin to date. This special keepsake box is intricately woodburned with a ghost, two sunflower eye plants, stars and a rainbow on the front. The sides have stars with swirly random patterns fired into the piece and the stars are filled with iridescent copper acrylic paint/orange glitter pieces. The bottom of the box has a rainbow and the very top has two green eyes crying large drops of glitter tears.

THEN YOU OPEN THIS BABY UP! And oh boy! The inside of the container is painted with muted forest green and iridescent copper edges. I then lined one side of the box with live moss, real plant bits, authentic red jasper stones (which are known for their grounding properties, in case you’re into that sort of thing), a fake plastic spider, a dollhouse mirror that is purposely scratched up for a spooky effect, and a little tree stump with a cute little ghostie figurine glued on top of it.

AND GET THIS: Both the dollhouse mirror and ghost stump have velcro attached to them, so you can choose to take them out…for what reason, you ask? Well, I’m not sure. It’s just fun to make functional art. It’s interactive AND you can store you most prized trinkets away and the spirits of the earth will guard them. Well, not really. Just pretend, okay?

Then once you close this all up, you can flip it over and see my woodburned logo on the back with bonus ghosties swirling around in there. The black and gray painted parts are Unicorn Spit brand woodstain that I diluted. Looks pretty neat. I then sealed it all up with matte varnish to protect it, but it still delicate and fragile, so please handle this with care.

Measures approx.: 6” tall x 3.25” widest x 1.75” thick
