Captured Jar đź‘» Ghost - Adopt a Ghostie
Admittedly this isn’t my original idea, but I took my own spin on the concept. I have seen these little ghost jars all over the internet lately and had to try my hand at it. I purchased the tiniest jar I could find and made a teeny tiny ghost (it is slightly bigger than a grain of rice - SO SMOL) out of air dry clay. I painted the ghost with off white and light gray acrylics, put a subtle glitter sheen on top, and sealed it with a very glossy layer of varnish.
I then placed baby ghostie on a little wire and surrounded it with real flower bits, moss, shiny confetti autumn leaves, stones (I think they are little red jasper pebbles I got off of Etsy a while back - red jasper symbolizes the earth’s energy and can be grounding, if you are curious). I completed this cutie by gluing it all down with a little bit of tacky glue, gave it a gentle “shake test” and all the pieces seem to stay put! Hooray. Finally, I tied a little bit of Halloween themed string around the rim.
Please note that this is very fragile and delicate and should be handled with care. The jar is glass, the cork can break easily if pulled off too hard, also (I found that out the hard way when I was trying to use another jar for a project).
Measures approx.: 1” tall, and just under a 1/2 wide. Please see photos with the quarter for scale. This item photographed larger than it looks in real life. I also had a hard time capturing all the details. It truly is magical.
THANK YOU FOR SHOPPING (LITERALLY) SMALL! Stay Spooky!
