“R.I.P.” Ribcage Decaying DIEorama in Rhinestone Frame
I took a plastic ribcage from a skeleton figurine, painted it, gave it some nice texture, surrounded it with live moss, dried flowers, and pebbles from my own yard. I glued a pre-made mushroom at the top that I painted over and added texture and UV resin. Then I hand molded an air-dry clay anatomical heart, painted that and added resin as well. The brown mushrooms on the bottom corner were also handmade by me in air dry clay (and yes, you guessed it - painted and sealed with UV resin). I painted little green lines on the faux plant coming out of the top of the ribs and added “rip” to the bottom with alphabet beads. I think the details and use of mixed media is super fun. It props up, so it is ready to make your desk, shelf, etcetera look all the cooler. This would make a perfect gift for your spooky valentine, or is appropriate for year-round display.
All parts are glued together with industrial strength E6000. Piece is delicate and should be handled with care.
