“Mushy Skull” Hand Painted Trinket Dish/Tray

$40.00
SOLD

I bought this cool oval ceramic tray blank at Joann’s and painted a couple of skulls and mushrooms on it in acrylic paint. Then, I coated it with several thin layers of resin, to seal the work permanently, and to maintain ultimate glossiness ✨.

Unfortunately, a small edge of the tray chipped off because clumsy me 🙄 placed my purse on it when I came into my studio! I did a whoopsie! But I had worked so hard on it, I had to come up with a solution. I then decided to shape some air dry clay on top of the imperfection, and seal it with varnish. I still didn’t like how this looked, so I used the magical whimsy of moss! OHH! That’s more like it! It covered it up nicely, seriously, you’d never know! I just like to be up front and honest. And yes, there are other flaws on this guy: note the long crack down the center, It was there when I purchased this, but I think it works because SPOOKY. The backside also is a little worn and the resin has a few bubbles in it. I’m only a human person, still trying to burn all the little bubbles away while pouring the resin, so yeah. Take advantage of this lower price point to make up for these flaws. I’m always here to elaborate further if there are any specific inquires.

Measures approx. 7” x 4” x .75”
